Penn Valley SDA Church

Since 2007 the Penn Valley SDA Church has operated a community Adult Day Program. This project helps families and their dependent adult, allowing caregivers a break from their duties. We provide care to every eligible client and expenses are often more than what families can afford. While Helping Hands is our main outreach project, we feel God calling us to do more. Our church is small but the desire to serve is huge! Our team of compassionate staff are competent and knowledgeable about elder care, dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, mobility, social and emotional needs, medical process for most disease processes and personal care. An RN is always on duty to provide assistance with medications and information, and support caregivers with information and referrals. We strive to provide a safe, nurturing environment for dependent adults to socialize 3 days each week while their caregiver takes time to care for themselves!

Since 2007 the Penn Valley SDA Church has run Helping Hands, a licensed day care center for dependent adults so that their caregivers may take breaks as needed. Seniors can stay all day, and while Helping Hands has a daily visit fee, it is waived for those who cannot afford to pay.
